Katherine is a native New Yorker, currently living in Bali, Indonesia. She found yoga was a fun way to stretch until she discovered how she treated herself on the mat translated to how she treated others off of it. Now, she helps her students find their own version of balance and continues to inspire them to step out of their comfort zone. Khat completed her 200-hour teacher training with Tina Bock and Sam Vetrano of Bodhi Yoga Academy. She trained with Honza and Claudine of YogaBeyond and is 100-hour certified in ACROVINYASA. Her classes follow a foundation on proper alignment and basic anatomy while always reminding her students to keep it light and have fun with their practice.
She founded Puri Bali Retreats when she realized she can combine her most inspiring loves of life – yoga, travel and the human connection. She claims to be half-Filipino and half-coconut. “One a day keeps the Bali belly away!”
Grace is from the UK, and first fell in love with movement when she started ballet at the age of 2! Aged 11 she was accepted to full time ballet school where, alongside ballet training, Grace was lucky enough to be introduced to Pilates. From then on Pilates became an integral part of Grace’s dance training and career.
In 2010 Grace transitioned from professional dancer to ballet and Pilates teacher, and became certified through the Royal Academy of Dance, the Pilates Method Alliance, and Body Arts and Science International (BASI) Pilates. She has also completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training course in Ashtanga Yoga.
Grace’s Pilates classes endeavour to find a balance between the precision required to make positive changes in alignment, strength and mobility, whilst drawing from dance and yoga to create a fun and explorative movement experience.
